Manfred Karge
Born in 1938 at Brandenburg an der Havel, Manfred Karge pursued a career in Theater. After his studies he was called to the Berliner Ensemble by Helene Weigel in 1961. There a long-standing friendship begins with Matthias Langhoff resulted in many successful productions. Manfred Karge works as author, director and actor. His plays 'Man to Man' and 'The conquest of the South Pole' are two of the most performed plays of contemporary German authors.
