Curio Theatre Company is focused on developing exciting and memorable works of imagination, intelligence, and passion from a variety of genres through a core group of artists and affordably serving these works to audiences in the diverse community of West Philadelphia and beyond.
Throughout the 2010/2011 season Curio Theatre is looking to produce staged readings of four new works. Our goal is to give support and exposure to new or developing original plays from the Philadelphia area and beyond. Our focus is on contemporary, fresh, innovative, and powerful pieces that have a strong and engaging point of view. Our selections will include at least one local West Philadelphia playwright and one play of international origin.
Guidelines for Submission:
1) We will only accept electronic submissions.
2) Please include a brief synopsis (one page or less) with a character break down and number of actors needed.
3) Please include a 10 page sample of the play you would like to submit. If your submission is approved we will ask for a copy of your entire play.
4) Also please include a brief bio or resume.
5) Please submit all queries as Microsoft Word documents.
6) All submissions will receive a response from Curio Theatre.
7) Submissions must be received by: 01/11/2011
